Self Service Banner is a system that lets you to
- Add or drop classes
- Change your contact information including phone number, email address and home address
- View your class schedules
- View your final grades
- View your unofficial transcripts
Blackboard is a system that is used for online classes. If you have registered for an online class you can use Blackboard to
- Communicate with the course instructor
- Communicate with the course classmates
- Work on course syllabus
- Work on assignments
- Take exams and quizzes
- View your scores
Please note that final grades of online courses will be available in Self Service Banner
Student EmailLIT Student Email is your official LIT email. Most faculty and staff communications will be sent to your LIT email address. The email address format is typically first initial middle initial last name [at] my.lit.edu
For instance John A. Doe will typically have LIT email address as jadoe@my.lit.edu, unless there is more than one person with same name.
To view your LIT email address, sign into myLIT, click on your name on top right hand corner and then click Details.

The Payment Gateway system allows you to pay for your LIT tuition and fee. Once signed in, you can also authorize your parent/guardian to make a payment on your behalf. You will need an email address of the person who you want to authorize to make a payment. Authorized users should log into Payment Gateway system directly by going to https://epay.lit.edu/C23569_tsa/web/login.jsp
Mary & John Gray LibraryYou can utilize Mary & John Gray Library for your research and assignments. The library is located in the Lamar University campus [LU Campus Map]. Please refer to these instructions for logging into a library PC or the library's iLink system.
Barnes & Noble Campus StoreBarnes & Noble Campus Store is an online market place where you can rent or purchase LIT textbooks or eBooks, purchase apparel, electronics, gifts & accessories. Please note that this system is independent of LIT's Payment Gateway system and requires its own account and payment method. LIT cashiers do not have access to transactions made through this system.
